Services We Provide

 

Think you can do it all on your own? You probably can, but should you?

Working with an agent provides you with many benefits at NO COST to you. Some highlights include:

  • Smoother Application Process - You're working with someone who has filed many applications and has access to resources within the industry.

  • Advice for Plan Choice - Cheaper premiums mean lesser benefits; an agent has experience helping people review their budget, historical health insurance use, and health history to recommend premium-benefit combinations.

  • Help With Bills - When medical bills arrive and you're not sure whether your insurance has paid out correctly, if at all, an agent can communicate with the insurance company and the medical provider to get status reports and sort out errors.

  • Local Contact - You'll have more success getting assistance from a local agent than from a 1-800 call center.

  • No Extra Cost - agents get paid on commission, and your health insurance premiums are not increased for using an agent. In fact, it's like you're paying for an agent even if you don't have one. Why wouldn't you work with an agent?


Employee Support

Our employers always call us first! Whether its enrolling new employees, assembling an orientation packet, or serving your new employees one-on-one, we are here to help you with it all. If you're an employer who prefers to on-board new employees independently, we are here to provide support when needed.


Open Enrollment Support

Depending on the size of your company, open enrollment can be an overwhelming time for HR directors or benefit administrators. The ZFI team is here to help you through this process! We encourage our groups to start utilizing the online benefits system we offer, as this both increases the engagement from employees, and reduces the manual processes required by the employer. Either way-- we help with educating employees, one-on-one meetings, consulting on which benefit options would be best each year, and more during open enrollment.


Self-Funded Health Insurance

With a self funded plan, your monthly payment is split into an administrative and a claims account. In favorable claims years you receive the balance in the claims account whereas in a fully insured account the carrier keeps all funds  paid in. That carryover balance can then be used to fund the following year or educational programs to keep employees healthier-- also reducing your costs.

A self-funded plan gives you, the employer, more control over the plan. Self-funded plans are typically most popular in groups over 50 employees, but can be done for smaller groups as well. Ask us if a self-funded plan might be right for you!



Benefit Offerings

As lisensed agents, we offer any benefits that you are interested in offering your employees. These can be paid by you as the employer, or elected as a voluntary benefit within the employer's group. We offer health, dental, vision, life, disability, identity theft, and supplemental insurance.

Staying up-to-date with compliance laws is always a challenge in the work place. We do what we can to make your life easier- providing checklists, calendars, and reminders whenever anything new is brought to light. We are also always available as a resource if you have questions about plan documents, employee notifications, and more.


Online benefits systems

If you're not already administering your benefits online... you should be! Millennials are the new majority of the work force, and they expect benefit information at their fingertips (aka on their smart phones) at ANY time. Plus, many of them are unfamiliar with the concept of insurance. Our online benefits system is excellent when it comes to making education available for employees about their benefit choices. We add in videos, summary documents, or text that is customized to your company. Maybe even a video of you "welcoming" a new employee to the company. Communicating benefits to employees is challenging. Employees often feel that learning about their benefits is boring, and therefore they become less engaged. At ZFI, we work hard to make sure that benefit meetings interesting, engaging, and worth while.
